Mediatheque ought to be a place of our recollection of this constant loop of subjugation and emancipation in our history - it shall be a place that celebrates birth and paying homage to death. Mediatheque must be a place for this Brutal Faith, a pun, for the brutality of believing and the brutality within beliefs.
Today we are becoming increasingly familiar with this story of religion and faith politicized, being the criteria for institutional discrimination. We see war and we witness death. Nonetheless, we celebrate birth and thrive in liberty. Berlin is undoubtedly that right place for the mediatheque. Berlin is that epicentre of emancipation and subjugation of religion. The city’s history of brutal faith owes to the born and the dead. The city witnessed repeated persecutions of religion for political and moral value differences, and heralded revolutionary attempts in guaranteeing religious freedom.

This project places geometries as fundamental to incubating the emotions and connection that subjects experience when they are in a mediatheque. The second phase comprises several stages of experimentation and contemplation: abstraction of precedents, exploration on form-finding, combinations of euclidean geometries, and setting rules for spatial qualities. This investigation looks at a systemic agglomeration of forms referencing the field diagram of four statuses: birth, death, subjugation, and emancipation.
